Become your protectors' ally : your mission

Solo or in a group setting, you learn how to become an ally with your protective parts: this is the longest step, also the one that allows you to access Self. If you want to go further and heal some of your exiles, it is not solo or in a group that you achieve that. You need the safety of the relationship to a trained professional, during one on one sessions. This way only will you be able to heal exiles and allow protectors to transform. Because relationship heals.

It is paramount to state that what we do solo or in a group setting is meeting and learning how to better know and relate to our protectors. While doing this, we develop our access to Self. This step requires repetition and practice. You progressively make alliance with these aspects of you - your defenses - in order to function in a more enlightened way (Self led).

When, in a situation you experience, one of your exiles gets activated, the thing to do, if you feel at ease with it, is to support your firefighters that are reacting strongly and compulsively. Maybe you can also just wave at your exile and show it it is seen, and that you have compassion for its pain.

But you CANNOT intervene with an exile. It is protected by an entire team of managers and firefighters who will do their best to keep you at bay.

If you do intervene, because "you have to save it" or "we have to get it out of there", you are being blended with a protective part that is trying to turn off the exile's suffering.

This will have consequences. It is called backlash (or boomerang effect). As you imposed your intervention upon the exile (because you were blended), the protectors action amplifies itself and can cause flu symptoms, great fatigue, pains, loss of vitality, dissociative state or even more intense things, in reaction to your intervention without consent.

It is guided by someone who is able to have enough Self that you can access your exiles and heal them.

The goal of solo and group practice is to develop relationships with your protective system, not heal your exiles.

The healing of exiles is achieved in one on one sessions, because we touch to what is most vulnerable in an individual. In the safety of the relationship with the professional, his or her Self guides your Self to be fully present and, in alliance with your protectors, you retrieve, unburden and reintegrate your exiles, allowing then for protectors to transform.
